Joe Toboni is a litigation attorney arguing both civil and criminal trials. Prior to joining Wilenchik & Bartness, Mr. Toboni practiced independently in Scottsdale, AZ. Inspired by John Grisham’s The Rainmaker, Mr Toboni took his first case to trial opposing a firm of over 20 experienced attorneys and won a unanimous jury verdict. Today he advocates for his clients without regard to popularity.
Mr Toboni graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s in Chemistry, performing research at Pfizer and Baxter. He received his Juris Doctorate from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, doing externships at the AZ Department of Gaming and Phoenix City Hall. But the most difficult program was actually the Arizona College of Trial Advocacy, where he argued a mock trial one week before a real trial.
Mr Toboni likens the practice of law to performing on the piano, as he must reach his audience by shaping discordant tones into one cohesive harmony.
